Switching on your vehicle's ignition allows a sensor to trigger your dim lights to 80% strength during the day. The rear lights, dash and number plates are not activated during the day. When switching the ignition off during the day the headlights will switch off automatically.

Once it becomes dark, the sensor of the device will pick up the light intensity and will automatically switch the headlights, the rear lights, number plate lights and all the dashboard lights on to 100%. It does the same when you enter a tunnel, undercover parking area or your garage. The device can be set to switch off automatically between 0 and 90 seconds once the vehicle is parked and the ignition is switched off.

This will allow you to get safely into your home before the lights switch off automatically.

(NO MORE FLAT BATTERIES AT ANY TIME).

Our preferred Auto Electricians, MED Workshop, state that no damage will be done to the vehicle should the alternator, battery and globes of the vehicle be in a good condition. A test should be conducted prior to installation.

Driving with Lights on at Daytime. (Lights on Campaign) see webpage

At the launch of several Road Safety Campaigns the Department of Transport has urged motorists to drive with their headlamps on during the day. Motorists were urged to keep headlamps of vehicles on the dipped beam and demonstrate their commitment and support of the Arrive Alive's 'Lights on Campaign'.

It is important to understand the merits behind this request. Several international studies have proven that the correct implementation of such a strategy could indeed assist in reducing deaths on the roads.
